One quote, and you can see who gets paid
Most kitchen prices are a single number with somebody's markup folded inside. Ours is a list. You pay us for the cabinets, you pay the installers for their labor, and every other trade quotes you and bills you directly.
| On your quote | What it covers | You pay | When |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cabinets | Shaker-style cabinets from US Cabinet Depot, with the maker's limited lifetime warranty | Affordable Cabinets | Before we order |
| Installation | Taking out the old cabinets, assembling and installing the new ones | The installation team | Half at the start, half at the end |
| Countertops | Template, fabrication and installation by Cape Granite Connection. We show you the approximate cost up front. | Cape Granite Connection | On their terms |
| Plumber, electrician, tile, paint | Each one looks at the job, hears what you want and quotes you | Each trade, directly | On their terms |
We have no financial arrangement with the other trades, so nothing is added on top of their price. Feel free to make deals with them. And we do not run up any extra expense without your approval first.
Four meetings, then a kitchen
This is how every job goes, from the first call to the day the plumber hooks up the sink.
How we work, in fullContact
You call, and we set up a visit. We come to the house, look, and listen to what you want to do. We talk about the budget and whether it fits the job, then measure and take notes for a first plan.
Follow up
Within a week or so we are back with the first draft and note what to add, adjust or correct. The head of our installation team comes along to see the job and say what else it may need.
Power meeting
We go over the final plan and a price that shows cabinets and labor separately, with the approximate countertop cost from our countertop shop. You learn how to reach the plumber, the electrician and the other trades, who quote you directly.
Do the work
The cabinets are paid for and ordered. Base cabinets go in first so the countertop shop can template; the tops usually arrive about a week later. Then the plumber connects the sink and the kitchen is ready to use.
Where do you live?
It is the first thing Dennis asks, because there is probably a kitchen we built near you, and its owner may let you in to see it. 23 of them are on this site, from Buzzards Bay to Chatham.

What our customers say
5.0 on Google from 13 reviews, as of October 2, 2026. These are their words, not ours.
I got a quote from Home Depot and then I found Dennis McCartney's information online. … Dennis met with me on several occasions to finalize my kitchen design. He provided me with pictures of the design and a quote so I knew exactly the cost of the job.
Nancy Pelletier on Google Dennis has a wealth of experience in various aspects of the building trade. He was able to start the job in a timely manner and kept on schedule with our project. Most of all, the cost truly was affordable.
Liz Saunders on Google Dennis runs a business that saves people money on new cabinets and their installations! … He is also very honest, you can tell (you'll see!).
Valerie Leri on Google Working with Dennis made a kitchen renovation easier than I expected; from offering reasonably priced cabinets, providing competent installers, and offering counter top installers and electricians with whom he has connections.
Anne on Google Installed cabinets & countertops which was particularly challenging as nothing is straight or level in our cottage. He kept on schedule & is knowledgeable , professional & easy to communicate with.
John Reidy on Google It was a new layout with a lot of great suggestions of the best use of my smaller space. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great priced, quick renovation in their kitchen!
Jack Parks on Google He helped keeping cost down by suggesting a very good and affordable company. … We added a huge island which needed some prep work. The job was well done and timely.
King Limage on Google I live in CO so wasn’t there to see the work being done but Dennis was great in sending pictures and communicating progress. Would highly recommend this company as the cabinets are beautiful and the installation was fantastic!
Martha Guthrie on Google I had the pleasure of working with Dennis at Affordable Cabinets this past fall on a kitchen remodel in W. Yarmouth. … Affordable Cabinets had the best price and solution.
Jim Robertson on Google He was very helpful with really great ideas and suggestions. … I get many compliments on it from friends and family.

What Dennis builds into a kitchen
The first three go into almost every job, and they are in the price, not added to it. They fix the spots that waste the most space in a Cape kitchen.

Wire baskets, not a lazy Susan
The shelf that comes with a stock corner cabinet has a low edge, and things slide off the back. Dennis buys an adjustable wire basket system instead and sets the heights around what you actually store.

A pull-out for the blind corner
The cabinet that disappears behind the next run used to be dead space. A pull-out built for blind corners brings the whole shelf out into the room.

A drawer base beside the stove
Pots and pans belong within reach of where you cook. A wide drawer base goes next to the range on almost every design.

A drawer hidden inside a drawer
Open the big drawer and a second one slides out above it, for cutlery or knives. Not many kitchens have one. Ask for it.
It ships flat. Then it becomes this.
Ready to assemble describes how a cabinet travels, not how it is built. This is what goes together in your kitchen.
A cabinet grade plywood box
Half-inch cabinet grade plywood sides, a full-height back and a 3/4" shelf with a banded edge.
A hardwood face frame
Solid hardwood, 3/4" by 1 3/4", across the front of the box.
A dovetailed drawer
A 5/8" hardwood drawer box on full-extension, soft-close glides mounted underneath.
A five-piece door
A frame around a flat panel, on six-way adjustable, soft-close hinges.
In the color you pick
Nine Shaker colors and four Oxford on the current sheet. The outside of the box is finished to match.
Then the stone goes on
Cape Granite Connection templates, cuts and sets the countertop.

Why I Stopped Using Lazy Susans (And What Goes in My Kitchens Instead)
I’ve been doing kitchen cabinet replacements on Cape Cod long enough to have a strong opinion about corner cabinets, and it’s this: the lazy Susan that comes standard from most…

What’s Really Included in Your Kitchen Cabinet Price?
I’ve been in building products and distribution for over 30 years, and I’ve watched a lot of homeowners get burned the same way: they get a low number up front, and then the real…

Key Factors to Evaluate When Comparing Kitchen Cabinet Prices
I’ve been designing and installing kitchens on Cape Cod since 2021, and the question I hear most often isn’t ‘what style do you like?’ — it’s ‘how do I know if I’m getting a fair…
Questions people ask first
If yours is not here, call or text (508) 215-8805.
Do you have a showroom?
No, and that is on purpose. A showroom is overhead that ends up in the price of your kitchen. Instead, the first thing Dennis asks is where you live, and he takes you to see a kitchen we built nearby, in the home of a customer who is glad to show it.
What is the best way to reach you?
By phone. Call or text (508) 215-8805. You can also email [email protected] or use the form on this site. We reply within 24 hours during the work week.
Do you do bathrooms?
Yes. Bathrooms have their own crew now, separate from the kitchen crew. The vanities come from the same US Cabinet Depot lines as our kitchens, in the same colors, and the tops come from Cape Granite Connection.
Do your cabinets have a warranty?
Yes. The cabinets, door hinges and drawer glides are made by Brothers Global Inc under the US Cabinet Depot name and carry the maker's limited lifetime warranty for the original purchaser. The warranty is not transferable, and the full text is on our warranty page.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We are a Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor, registration #198533, and we carry general liability insurance through Next Insurance.
What methods of payment do you accept?
Check, Venmo, Zelle or credit card. Card payments are processed through Helcim, and there is no fee charged for paying by card.
Will you do other work besides cabinets?
For customers who buy a kitchen from us, yes: flooring, tile, trim carpentry, drywall and painting, with plumbing and electrical done by licensed contractors we trust. We do not offer those services to the general public.
What is your service area?
We design and sell kitchens on Cape Cod from Bourne to Dennis, and we have built them as far out as Brewster and Chatham. From October through May we also go to Plymouth, Wareham and Buzzards Bay. We do not go to Martha's Vineyard or Nantucket. We sell cabinets to anyone, anywhere, homeowners and contractors alike.
What colors do your cabinets come in?
The current US Cabinet Depot sheet has twenty-five door colors. Eleven are Shaker doors (White, Antique White, Dove, Grey, Ivy, Navy, Black, Honey, Cinder, Essence Oak and Unfinished) and five are Oxford doors (White, Cashmere, Sage, Mist and Toffee). The rest are the Edgeline, Casselberry and Haven styles. Every one is pictured on our colors page.
Do you reface cabinets or build custom ones?
No. We replace kitchen cabinets with ready-to-assemble cabinets from US Cabinet Depot. We do not reface, we do not build custom cabinetry and we do not take insurance-claim work. That focus is what keeps the price low and the wait short.
